Good afternoon,

Welcome again to our Derbyshire Alert new users and I do hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

I spoke with Santa recently, even though he is extremely busy, and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.

Recently an Escooter was seized, in Linton area.

HGV drivers/companies  spoken to.

Extra patrols occuring all over South Derbyshire throughout Christmas.

The licensing teams have been working closely with our bars, pubs, and clubs raising awareness and support to enable them to spot any issues and recognise when someone is in trouble or who is vulnerable. 

THE ANGELA approach

If there is someone who is making you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or not leaving you alone whilst you are out, you can head to the bar and ask for ANGELA. The staff are trained to help you safely and discretely out of the situation.

Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged

If your vehicle breaks down, get the What3Words app on your phone to pinpoint the exact 3word location for the emergency recovery team to respond much quicker to your location.

You can also call us on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
